All students who are going to be inducted into the honor society in the Spring must meet certain requirements:
 

• Must be enrolled as a major or minor in a Psychology program or a program that is psychological in nature (e.g., Neuroscience)

 

• Must be at least a second-semester Sophomore

 

• Must have at least 9 credits in Psychology

 

• Psychology GPA of 3.0 or higher

 

• Overall GPA that is in the top 35% of your class.

*If the cut-off for the top 35% is below 3.00, the applicant must have an overall GPA of at least 3.00*

 

Transfer students must meet the same requirements as the undergraduate student applicant and should also have completed at least 12 semester hours at the University of Miami. Students who were inducted as another institution do not need to be inducted again, but should contact the Psi Chi faculty advisor at the new institution to complete an online transfer membership form.
